Get a Violin:

Rent or buy a violin through a local shop, such as Violins, Etc.on Burnet Ave., Blackerby Violins on Anderson Lane, Craigsviolins.com in Lakeway, or Westbank Strings.  Sharmusic.com is another good source.  Beware the $50 violins available online.  They look like violins, but they often don't handle as they should or have a good sound.  Any other questions--please email, we're happy to help.
